The Desire between the Eye and the Gaze
I’m talking about the human who has independent ego through this work, that view from two perspectives of inner suppression and expression(permit).
Inner self choose by themselves to be hide or expose their existence by oneself through the numerous conflicts of internal and external factors, that is officiating as live and strong entity even though not showing to outside. And human take decisive action themselves about process of their choice in every moment, that is the decision of consciously or subconsciously. But every choice and process has price of life according to it.
Everything is so beautiful view from afar.
I’m express two incompatible perspectives by difference of the visual and auditory senses. One of perspective is need endless rationalization for repressed part of themselves, even though satisfy because it was able to maintain of shape what they wanted. And the other perspective is the view from real freedom caused by allowed inner self, even though standing on the way should meet new barriers in every moment. Also audience can experience about two different perspectives during screening.
Everyone has the strong energy of various colors, and that making to move themselves by their unique inner dynamic power. And I though It’s the true dynamic subject, when they can do independent movement with unique inner energy by themselves, after combine with their exterior and inner self.
I would like to give some question within this subject of independent ego from different two perspectives.
How living we are by particular ego?
Is it all choices independent and subjective enough to can handle weight of process in our choices?
How are we living now with choice of several looks by ourselves?
시선과 응시 사이의 욕망
나는 이 작품을 통해 내적 억압과 표출(허용)의 두 가지 시선에서 바라본 독립적 주체로서의 인간에 관한 이야기를 꺼낸다.
외부로 보여지지는 않지만 살아있는 강한 독립체로서의 역할을 하고 있는 내적 자아는, 수 많은 내·외적 요인들의 갈등을 통해 진정한 자신의 존재를 스스로 드러내거나 혹은 감추기를 선택한다. 그리고 인간은 의식적 혹은 무의식적으로 자신이 결정한 매 순간의 선택에 따른 다양한 과정을 스스로 감행하게 된다. 그러나 모든 선택과 과정에는 그에 따른 삶의 대가를 요구하게 된다.
멀리서 바라보면 모두가 아름답다.
나는 작품 안에서 두가지의 상반된 시선. 즉, 자신이 원했던 모양을 유지함으로써 스스로를 만족시키지만 억압된 부분에 대한 합리화를 끊임없이 필요로 하는 측면에서의 시점과, 늘 새로운 벽을 만날 수 밖에 없는 과정에 놓여있지만 내적 자아가 허용되었기에 진정한 자유를 누릴 수 있는 측면에서의 시점을 동시에 시청각적 차이로 표현한다. 또한 작품이 상영되는 동안 관객들은 각각의 상반된 측면의 상태를 경험하게 된다.
누구나 갖고 있는 강렬한 다양한 빛의 에너지는 인간들 각자에게 그들만의 고유한 내적 동력으로 스스로를 움직이게 만든다. 내적 자아가 외적인 자신의 모습과 통합되어 자신만의 고유함으로 독립적인 움직임을 가질 때야말로 비로소 진정한 동적 주체라 할 수 있을 것이다.
상반된 두 가지의 시선을 통해 ‘독립적 주체로서의 자아’라는 동일한 주제를 다루며, 우리는 얼마만큼 독립적 주체로서의 모습으로 살고 있는가에 관한 질문을 던진다.
지금 우리의 모습은, 각자 스스로가 선택한 과정의 무게를 기꺼이 감당할 수 있을만큼의 독립적이고 주체적인 선택들이었을까?
지금 우리는 각자 어떠한 모습을 스스로 선택하며 움직이고 있을까?
